We used to watch her in those local chinese dramas, usually as the fierce mother or MIL. Then we thought she had retired. But no. At the full age of 81, she is like the belakang parang diasah lagikan tajam. The Sg production "Money No Enough 2" starred our very own Lai Meng. She rocks. I luv her expressions, it had went from sad, to miserable, to depressing n finally to heartbreaking, despite the random shootings u'd hav in the filming. She is so good tat she sent me wailing like a baby. I had to paused the show quite a while to wipe all the tears welled up by my glasses.

she DID not win but nominated instead. she lost to another veteran from Taiwan also in a heartbreaking role.
anyway, she's good and truly deserved to be appreciated. u should dig out her "Empat Sekawan" stuff in radio and TV.
